For our one-year-olds, we focus on developing positive self-esteem and independence. Our teachers are both loving and nurturing in order to make that first separation from loved ones as easy as possible.

Our two-year-old program provides a loving and nurturing environment that promotes and fosters independence, creativity, and a love for learning.

Our one-year-old curriculum emphasizes:

• Socialization
• Motor skills development
• Finger play
• Songs

Our two-year-old curriculum is thematically based where a central theme integrates 

• Art 
• Story time  
• Role-playing

Weekly extracurriculars include:

• Music

At Friends in Christ Preschool, we know what it takes to get your child ready for success in school. We follow the TEKS set required by the state of Texas for Pre-K. This rigorous curriculum focuses on letter sounds, recognition, and identifying high frequency words. We use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.

Our teachers use engaging stories, songs, art, hands-on projects and other creative methods to reinforce learning and prepare students for the demands of Kindergarten.

Our Music Enrichment Class introduces children to the world of music through singing, moving, listening, and playing simple age-appropriate instruments. It’s a great way for them to explore their creativity and develop a lifelong love of music.

Chapel time is a highlight of each week where students actively participate in our mini worship service as they grow in their faith and praise God through singing, dancing, and hearing an age-appropriate message.

Do you need extended childcare? Do you have times when there are just not enough hours in the day?  We can help! Your little one will enjoy fun games, activities, and snacks with Ms. Patti, Ms. Julie, or FIC Staff.
